On 1 July 2019, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee (PPC) held a conference to evaluate the socio-economic and national defense performance of tasks in June and the first half, charting the course for second half of 2019. The conference was chaired by Chairman of PPC Nguyen Bon along with PPC Vice-Chairman Tran Xuan Hai, PPC Vice-Chairman Truong Thanh Tung and attended by Heads of departments, agencies of the province.

As reported, socio-economic situation of Dak Nong province in June and the first half of 2016 has  positive changes with satisfactory results. Of the 16 socio-economic development target groups approved upon by the Provincial People's Council,  there were 2 out of 16 target groups reaching or exceeding the goals, accounting for 12.5%; 7 out of 16 target groups being realized at 40% of the  goals, which are highly likely to be realized at the year-end; 1 out of 16 target groups (forest coverage rate) having low completion level, not very likely to be realized at year - end.

 The GRDP (at constant 2010 VND) was at VND8,657 billion, a growth rate of 8.03%, of which, growth rate of each sector was as follows: Agriculture is up 6.05%, industry and construction up 9.19%, service up 9.17%, tax up 8.51%.

Export turn-over in June 2019 was estimated at $100.58 million, up 19.62% compared to previous month. Accumulated 6-month export turnover was $524 million, accounting for 41% of the plan, meaning a year-on-year decline of 6.9%. Import turn-over in June 2019 was estimated at $17.04 million, up 6.17% over previous month. Accumulated 6-month import turn-over was $110 million, up 40% year-on-year, accounting for 50.3% of the plan.

Total State budget collection of the province in June 2019  was estimated at VND210.78 billion, accounting for 9% of the estimate tasked by provincial authority. The accumullated 6-month number was VND1,481 billion, accounting for 63% of the estimate, a year-on-year increase of 20%. Total budget spending of the province in June 2019 was estimated at nearly VND611 billion, accounting for 9% of the estimate tasked by provincial authority in 2019. Accumulated 6-month number was VND3,283 billion, accounting for 51% of the tasked estimate, a year-on-year increase of 30%.

Industrial production continued to thrive. The industrial production index in June 2019 was estimated to be up 14.74% compared to previous month and up 2.99% year on year. The 6-month industrial production index was up 10.7% year on year. In the first half of 2019, industrial parks of the province have attracted 3 investment project with registered capital of VND37.7 billion, bringing up the total number of project to 39 with total registered capital of VND17,872 billion.

Total retail sale and service revenue in June 2016 was estimated at VND1,204 billion, up 0.83% compared to May 2019, an year-on-year increase of 13.28%. The Accumulated 6-month revenue was VND7,250 billion, up 9.6% compared to  previous year same period,  accounting for 46% of plan. Total tourist arrival to Dak Nong in June 2019 was estimated at 26,000 counts, accumulated 6-month arrival was estimated at 223,000 counts, up 41.1% compared to same period of 2018.

Total planned investment capital for development of the province in 2019 was VND1,902.221 billion. Estimated disbursement of the first 6 months was VND760.503 billion, accounting for 40% of plan, up 12% year on year.

In the first half of 2019, there was 46 kilometres of newly asphalted road, increasing the rate of  asphalted road of the province from 61.15% to 62%, 88.4% of people in rural area having access to hygienic water, 97% of people in urban area supplied with hygienic water.

In June of 2019, there were 38 enterprises registering for new establishment (doubling the previous month) with registered capital of nearly VND162 billion, 4 times greater than the previous month's figure. Accumulated 6-month number of enterprises registering for new establishment was 264, up 10% year on year, with registered capital of nearly VND1,180 billion, declining 47.5% year on year. Number of operating enterprises was 2,242. Number of operating co-operatives in the province was 110 out of 134 registered co-operatives. 

The scale of education sector continued to grow, with 396 educational establishments in operation. Overthe past 6-month period, 10 more schools continued to be recognised as meeting national standards, increasing number of national - standard school of the province to 132 (accounting for 34.2%). All agencies of education sector had focused on preparing for the organization of 2019 National High School Exam, in order to secure a safe, effective, serious exam, in conformity with regulations. Stability of  Medical and Health care for people was maintained while quality of the sector was continuously improved, meeting people's increasing demand and expectation.
